The World Academy of Sport (WAoS) delivers learning programmes for sports and event participants - athletes, managers, administrators, officials and coaches - through a series of tailored educational programmes.
Welcome to the IPC Academy
The IPC Academy is a partnership between the IPC and the World Academy of Sport and is the education division of the IPC. The Academy brings individuals together to improve educational standards of sport throughout the Paralympic Movement and ensures that executives, administrators and officials have an educational centre that is sensitive to their needs and in touch with trends and developments, providing world class programmes.
The IPC Academy has a focused team continually enhancing programmes to ensure they remain world leading and specific to the Paralympic family's needs.

The IPC Academy Inclusion Summit 2012 aims to build on the success of the Accessibility Summit in Vancouver in 2010 to discuss inclusion and accessibility, how these impact on society, and what the Paralympic Games represent as a catalyst for societal change for people with a disability. The Games Experience Programme (GEP) is a new initiative of the IPC Academy in order for governments and those involved in the supply chain of the Paralympic Games to understand the complex delivery of such an event. Online Education
Officials in athletics competitions have responsibilities to ensure the competition is run fairly and within the rules. In this respect, Officials in IPC events face a set of unique challenges. From considering the qualities of a good official through to the understanding of specific rules applied to track and field events, communication skills and the structure of a Paralympic competition, this programme contains the information required to become a knowledgable Technical Official. Every Paralympic swimmer undergoes classification comprising a physical assessment, a technical assessment and observation during competition.
