The IPC’s Strategic Plan 2015-2018 under Organisational Capacity prioritises learning and training opportunities for NPC/NF staff and volunteers in the areas of governance, management, leadership and sport promotion.
With resources now available through the Agitos Foundation and its partners, the Japan Sport Council and the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center (NFPSC), the aim is to continue to offer such educational opportunities for NPCs in 2016, through the successful Organisational Capacity Programme (OCP).
The IPC Academy is supporting a 5 day programme in Tokyo to train selected individuals to lead Level 1 of the above programme in their own countries.
Prospective Programme Leads should register all their details for this training programme by clicking on the box below, in order to access an online toolbox of resources to help them better prepare for this opportunity.

Programme Leads will be assessed as to their competence by World Academy of Sport and Agitos Foundation Trainers during the training. All will receive a certificate of attendance from the IPC Academy.
At the end of the training World Academy of Sport and Agitos Foundation Trainers will give each participant feedback on their facilitation skills and determine whether individuals are competent to run Level 1 Organisational Capacity Programmes independently as Programme Lead.
By recruiting and training talented individuals from within the NPC network to lead these programmes, the aim is to ensure programmes are pitched at the right level and delivered in the most engaging and impactful way.
Programme Leads will use World Academy of Sport techniques, to create an interactive learning environment and to motivate participants completing the course to implement the knowledge they acquire.
